Description

A very striking and moody image by Vess from this classic Marvel book. I believe it was an issue entirely made up of pin-ups. Although the colors are very well chosen and enhance the art, the line work is truly brilliant. Although I don't read a lot of superhero material, the imagery surrounding Medusa and the treatment of her hair has made her one of my favorite characters to see visuals of.

Always loved Vess' illustrations, full of magic and poetry! Thanks for sharing the beautiful black and white original, since in my humble opinion the color version totally spoils it :(

Quiet, soft, beautiful. The only thing that could've improved this piece would've been better character selection. Someone like Nightwing would've been much better! Still, all in all, a wonderful piece. 😁

I loved that all pin-up issue of Marvel Fanfare, so many striking images and great character/artist combos. This ranks up towards the top--beautiful, tranquil image of Lee and Kirby's most unique couple. Very jealous!
