Description

A real privilege to meet comics legend Jim Blanchard at Short Run Seattle.

Jim was signing copies of his new book, Visual Abuse, that collects most of his 20 year plus output as cartoonist and illustrator in the NW.

As well as the book, I picked up this sweet (and little) illo for this offbeat set of 26 trading cards. It featured the artwork of 26 1990s alternative cartoonists, including Jim Blanchard, Peter Bagge, J.R. Williams, Daniel Clowes, Mitch O'Connell, J.D. King, R.K. Sloane, Roberta Gregory, Robert Armstrong, Spain, Rick Geary, Mary Fleener, The Pizz, Danny Hellman, Roy Thompkins, Mark Zingarelli, John Holmstrom, Dennis Worden, Jim Woodring, XNO and others. Each drawing was black and white with red highlights on the card.

This is the cover card.
