DescriptionBack in 1999, I attended the first Philippine Comic Convention in SM Megatrade Hall. I got a Gilbert Monsanto Wolverine Sketch which I have uploaded long time ago here in CAF.As I am based in another island here in the Philippines, I have never attended another convention since then - until SuperManila 2019 came along. I thought it would be a nice 20-year return to the convention scene. I requested a sketch from Gilbert Monsanto of Wolverine to make it a nice commemoration of the first sketch and also see how he has evolved as an artist the past 20 years. If anything, Gilbert's style is much more distinctive now as he has settled to find his artistic identity. It's also cool that he updated it to the Wolverine costume that came after the one he originally drew. I also posed with a photo with Gilbert with the original 1999 art and the 2019 art side by side!
