DescriptionI am so thrilled to own a page from the story line that brought me back into the world of Spider-Man, THIRTY years ago!In May, 1990, I had just completed my Masters in Music (and before that, two Bachelor's degrees in Math and Music). I was totally burnt out after 20 years of academia, my brain was fried, and I just needed something in my life that was stress-free and FUN. I had read comics as a kid, but I had mostly just bought off spinner racks in convenience stores, mostly Richie Rich & Archie, and it had been EONS since I had even cracked open a comic book. But that fateful May afternoon, I walked into my first full-fledged comic book store, and .... KRAKA-THOOM! All those colors! Sensory overload! Over here, a huge rack of the latest books! Over there, rows and rows of back-issue long boxes! It was sensory overload, and I LOVED it! Of course I was familiar with Spider-Man, and had bought a few issues of ASM back when I was a kid, but I certainly had no idea what his current exploits were. The comic that had just come out that month was Amazing Spider-Man #334, which was Part One of "The Return Of The Sinister Six," drawn by this guy I had never heard of, Erik Larsen. I snatched it off the shelf (along with about 20 other comics.) I opened that Spidey comic and was immediately hooked by the story and the art. I mean, what a great time to rediscover Spidey. What a great story to bring me back into the fold. All those villains! From there, it was a matter of moving backward (to catch up with McFarlane's run) and moving forward (to discover the vast talents of Mark Bagley). I have never missed one issue of ASM since then, and I also still collect so many of the titles I discovered (and rediscovered) back then in May of 1990. Stellar Larsen ASM Sinister Six page! I didn't know that this story had special significance for you! I'm so happy that we could work out a trade that brought this awesome piece to your epic Spidey verse collection! Congrats Paul!

Larsen all out action ASM page with a big personal nostalgic bent?! Hard to top in this hobby, bud! Sincere congrats on the pick up - definitely getting harder and harder to do. Gotta bring back memories whenever you look at it!

Fabulous page from a storyline that was indeed great FUN! When the first part of this story was solicited, I remember thinking "Finally?!? Geez, what the hell took so long to bring back the Sinister Six?". Congrats!

Funny page from funny times! Damn sweet the blue pencils (not to be confused with the "infamous" blue lines) with comments and "noises" by Larsen. Oldies & goldies pick!
