Description

Will Eisner original art Odd Fact newspaper cartoon piece 1975

The "Odd Fact" title and large signature and mortise were pre-printed on panels that Eisner would then draw and ink on. The small "Will Eisner" and year at the bottom are original, and the lettering and drawing is original Eisner.

From a series of single panel newspaper cartoons where Eisner experimented with using a nontraditional shape to fit into different spaces in the newspaper.

A really cool bit of newspaper syndicated comics history!

This is cool. I had never heard of this Eisner comic before seeing your examples of them. He had a lot of versatiliy.

Thanks for stopping by and showing Eisner some love, David! Yep, Eisner could lend his hand to just about anything - a consummate storyteller whose sheer quality shows through no matter the medium. And I always love his brush & penmanship!
