Secret Agent X-9 was created during the "dirty thirties" to rival the crimebusting adventures of Dick Tracy. 1935 Raymond period, special piece for me! ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Questa stupenda striscia quotidiana è tratta dalla storia "The Fixer", in Italia dal titolo "L'Inafferrabile Astuto". Nei tre pannelli troviamo alcuni dei protagonisti principali tra cui il Gobbo, la signora La Roque, The Fixer (Mr Denton), l'assistente Carper e naturalmente X-9. Nella seguente tavola possiamo ammirare la straordinaria tecnica di inchiostrazione detta drybrush (pennello asciutto) del periodo d'oro di Alex Raymond. L'agente segreto X-9 è stato creato da Raymond durante gli anni trenta, insieme a Flash Gordon e Jungle Jim, per competere con le avventure di Dick Tracy di C.Gould. In Italia l'Agente X-9 appare nel 1934 sulle pagine dell'Avventuroso Giornale (questa tavola sul n.87), successivamente tutte le avventure verranno raccolte e pubblicate nel classico formato orizzontale Nerbini per poi essere ristampate innumerevoli volte in vari albi e volumi fino ai giorni nostri.
