Description

This is my recreation of the unused FANTASTIC FOUR #52 that was rejected originally. The original art was by JACK KIRBY and JOE SINNOTT. There was obviously some retouching/fiddling/altering on the figure of the Black Panther that was most likely done in production. I doubt Sinnott did that to the body. Took me a long time to finally feel confident to do this one and render the body differently, but not in a modern way. Shortened his right arm and changed the hand. Looked at Sinnott samples from the interior (which may also have been altered), but found two nice examples with his mask off that looked unretouched. My attempt was to render the shadows/suit more in that vein.

11 x 17 over bluelines on comic board with the letter printed in black and touched up.
