This is an unused cover concept for the book, The Beastly Bride: Tales of the Animal People (Viking, April 2010).

When Charles' art book, Drawing Down the Moon (Dark Horse, Dec. 2009) came out, Bud Plant Books held a contest to promote the book. You had to count the number of Totoros that appeared in the book and the first ten people to send in the correct answer won a drawing by Charles. I was good at spotting hidden Totoros and this drawing was my prize ... ;)
