DescriptionI can't say enough about this creative team; certainly in 1969 on this title, Marvel truly made the Fantastic Four 'the world's greatest comic magazine'! This is a great example of Kirby-Sinnott modern sized art.Each of the theatrical panels shine; after the first establishing shot, perfectly staged, our hero descends as a regal messiah figure in panel two, the money panel; in the third panel, Medusa is reminiscent of a classic early Kirby pin up, plus the Sinnott inking is rich and black; a great dramatic Torch drawing to close... I'm really happy to pick up this beautiful clean and delicately crafted page of art! Social/Sharing |

Classic Kirby+Sinnott awesomeness. As Chris said, the second panel alone is worth the price of admission!

Tough choice on favorite panel but my vote is #3 for the classic Kirby Femme!

Thanks Mark, I do think it's a panel 2-3 punch. Panel three's greatness after panel two, closed the deal for me!

Such a great page--Black Bolt is one of my favorite Lee/Kirby creations, and this is a stellar example. Congrats!

About as good as you can get for a Kirby-Sinnott interior. Every panel could be a splash page on any other book. These guys sure as hell knew what they were talking about. World's greatest comic magazine indeed.
