Description

A cover recreation done on 11 x 17 Strathmore Bristol board by yours truly, Doug Hazlewood. Rendered over printed 'bluelines' with the lettering 'held' (printed) and then it was touched up.

This was the cover art rejected by Stan Lee by Ditko in favor of the Kirby pencilled one instead. I rendered it with a bit more detail/feathering than the original as it seemed so simple/stark. Nothing drastically different. I just wanted to give it a wee bit more depth.
