DescriptionHard to believe that the Spider-Man event "One More Day" is already 13 years old!This cover really captures the emotional significance of (and the grief involved with) breaking up the long-long-long-time couple of Peter and MJ. And man, Marvel wasn't fooling around. Although MJ stuck around, even working for Tony Stark for a while, and now starring in her own ongoing title, it wasn't until just recently that Peter and MJ finally got back together. For me, it was like the universe made sense again. Very happy to share this one with everyone. Thanks for looking! Social/Sharing |

Quesada's unique style is a perfect change of pace for Spidey and translates perfectly for dramatic cover images like this one! Huge congrats man!

In illustration, the key to conveying emotion which is powerful enough to impact the viewer, is not just in showing the face, which is helpful of course, but rather in mastering how to draw "body language". This piece has that. In spades.

It’s so rare to see Wizard Covers but I guess it’s not rare for my Mentor! The shading is beautiful, I love how it’s used to show Peters expression without actually seeing his face. Superb!!!

Awesome, Paul. Quesada is one of the best artists ever IMO as he can do everything. Love the more sylized look on Spidey here, it's technically exquisite throughout, and also so emotive. And Miki inks?! Come on :) Congrats!

Wow... Unbelievable! Outstanding piece, and I'll echo the sentiment that the inks are as central to this image as the body language, layout, and sparse backgrounds. Man - that is one HEAVY image, perfecty capturing the tone and intent of the book (well, not the Wizard issue - you know what I mean :) ), expertly executed by this killer artistic team. Serious congrats!
