Description

John Cassaday is of course best known for his work on Astonishing X-Men, Captain America and Planetary, but he did also one cool story for Mignola's Hellboy Weird Tales: Doc Hollow's Grand Vibro-Destructo Machine/Lobster Johnson. Art and story from Cassaday. There were 8 issues of Weird tales and in each issue there were 2 pages (an episode) of a Lobster Johnson story drawn by Cassaday. As the 2 pages were in reality one horizontal page, in the issues and books the story looks a little grainy, with a vintage feel (the colors emphasize it). But on the original pages you can see the beautiful line work by Cassaday. In this episode Lobster Johnson frees his assistant from the Crimson hood.
