Description

What do I remember from Mike Deodato Jr's run on "Amazing Spider-Man"? The Other, but mostly that epic conflict with Morlun. I think that was one of the most brutal battles Spidey has ever fought & really knew how to create a suspensful beatdown - although "Spider-Verse" kind of weakened him as a villain.

That splash page (see below) with Spidey laying there in his own blood, missing an eye, is so strong of an image, I had to ask Mike for an homage to his own work. When I met him at CCPX 2019, that was of course the goal. Mike loved the idea and that why there's a tiny bit more detail in this one than some of the others.

It's quite clear that it's not as elaborate as his work at conventions many moons ago, but the fact that he even sketched in general at the show was a great surprise. And the piece definitely makes up for those details in size - being a whopping 11x17.
