Description

Unfortunately, I have never been able to meet "artist extraordinaire" Mike Wieringo. I was lucky enough to buy this finished pencil piece by Mike who has worked on "Spider-Man" throughout the years. This was a commissioned piece from the mid 2000s.

It's amazing to see Mike's interpretation of the popular Venom character, while never having being able to draw him in a published comic. The pencils are also incredibly tight. Size is 11x17.

Update of 24/08/2021: This morning the inked version of the piece arrived. As recently with another piece, I asked Mark Morales to work his magic over a blueline copy of the original pencils that I had sent him. Et voila! Part of the fun was that Mike is one of Mark's favorite artists!

The lines are SO clean! Really like Wieringo's spin here - I gotta get a piece by him of my own soon! Congrats!

The sole reason I didn't get a blueline inked, yet. This piece is already so finished... I'll probably still do it somewhere down the line, though. Thanks!

Actually, I think you sold this to another collector in Flanders, who I bought this from! So by proxy, you did sell it to me! Quite lucky both of you let it go! ;)
