DescriptionJune 1973, Sub-Mariner #62, Page #17 Splash, End Page, Sam Kweskin pencils/Frank Giacoia inks,“A Realm Besieged!”, A classic Bronze Age splash written by the great, late Steve Gerber. It was drawn by a great Golden Age artist, Irving Sam Kweskin, who came back to Marvel in the 1970s and took over the Sub-Mariner title for a few issues for Bill Everett when Bill fell ill. He did the layouts for issues #58-60, which Bill Everett inked, and then he drew two issues, #62 and #63, before Don Heck took over the title. The page features the Monarch Supreme, the Mighty Sub-Mariner and his cousin Namorita fighting the Hydro-Men! Social/Sharing |

Phenomenal splash. Grail-worthy for Sub-Mariner fans and a stunning collaboration by Kweskin/Giacoia. Bravo!
