DescriptionMy first ever piece of original art, bought many moons ago, and still the pride of my collection. And what a way to start collecting! I was spoiled for years! :) Alan Davis pencils, with Paul Neary inking, drawing one of my favourite superheroes; The magnificently non-martial mutant; Doug Ramsey, Cypher in about the only solo splash panel he ever got! He's seen here programming the X-Men's Danger Room with a suitably challenging and weird scenarios to test his team-mates! (It was a "Teen Avengers" program as I recall) Check out that background too, have you ever seen such densely packed tech on a Davis panel? I know I haven't Isn't it just great? Social/Sharing |

It's so beautiful! If Claremont would just let the art tell the story. . .

Striking. Alan Davis during those years was not just good, nor great. He was magic.

This was one my favorite Annuals from the X-men/New Mutants, just second to Asgardian Wars, and this is the splash page. Alan Davis art is SO classy/classic! Congrats!

Yes, yes that is indeed "just great"! Davis and Neary combined to create such scrumptiously delicious eye candy... I really need to add some to my collection! Congrats on this and thanks for sharing!

It’s a shame Davis didn’t do more NM work. His style fit the series perfectly. Great splash!

The art here really is incredible with all the little details in the back. Congrats on holding onto it through all these years!
