Description

This has always been my favorite TMNT image and is one of the most used turtles image ever. It was inked in 1989 by Steve Lavigne and was originally created for the Colorforms box but has been reused many times over the years and is still used today. Krang, Shredder, and Splinter are typically cropped off, so the Turtles busting through the wall is probably what most people remember. It�s rare to see other characters besides the turtles on original licensing art.

This artwork has been used on many products including Issue #1 of the 1990 Eastman and Laird Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles comic which was centered around the cartoon and had 55 total issues. The image was also used on the 1991 pinball flyer for the pinball game, Trash Can, Topps card box and stickers, Hotwheels, clothing and various other things.
