I just love this drawing by Orson Lowell. I had often thought of him in a lesser light than some of his contemporaries like Charles Dana Gibson or James Montgomery Flagg but this piece is really fine, Especially up close and in person where you can really see the line work. It�s a big 18x24 on board.

An exquisite piece indeed! From time to time, me too I like to add some antique illustrations to my Gallery, I think they've had great influence on comic art

Many years ago I was able to get several Orson Lowell originals(which are HUGE!). He is easily on par with Flagg, in both technique and subject matter.
