DescriptionSeeing this cover brought back a flood of memories, especially with Denny's passing. From seeing it on the wall of Fat Jack's Comicrypt stores when I was young and couldn't afford it, to Mike giving me a break and finally buying it and reading it 3 times in a row because it was so great, and then reading it many times over the years. Not only Frank's incredible art and inked by Klaus, but the incredible script by Denny O'Neil.Key issue in continuity with Daredevil between #180 and #181 - a pivotal story. This is the issue that sees the Punisher going to jail. He would then meet Bullseye in prison and the rest is history. A beautiful book with an incredible cover! I was Fat Jack's customer back in late 1980s and read this one of the stands as well - great cover and great use of three of Doc's tentacles also!

I've always thought Miller was a particularly clever when he came up with the concept for this cover and that he and Janson executed the idea perfectly. Cheers!

yeah, it hits hard when you think of Denny. and that's what makes this so much more special at the same time. Denny I believe was Frank's editor on DD, so doing this issue, helped time Punisher being in DD #181 through #184 perfectly.
