Description

Picked this up during the final Live CAF show of 2020. LOVE the Hawks, and this cover by Richard Howell & the late, great Dick Giordano is a stunner. Was happy to scoop this up when it finally surfaced. It's not easy to score a Bronze Age first issue cover of a major DC hero!

Thanks, Ruben! I echo your sentiments on Hawkman's design. I've always felt it's one of the best superhero 'looks.'

Bought this off the stands when it came out. I was in love with the idea of the mini and maxi series and bought most of them from the Big Two. I always thought Hawkman was a cool looking character too, so it was really fun to see him get his own series mini-series, then followed by this ongoing series. I've been hoping for this original to hit the market since the late 90's, and am shocked you found it at Comic Art Live, because I never saw it there, not even in the "SOLD ART" section! Congrats, man!
