Description

Posting two sequential pages from Incredible Hulk #290, which features the 1st appearance of Ms. MODOK (a transformed Kate Waynesboro)!

Ms MODOK has turned on MODOK, so MODOK mercilessly attacks her with a barrage of energy bolts.
Then the Hulk joins the fray, attacking MODOK.
As first dates go, definitely not one MODOK's best, though amazingly, it's not his worst.

I remember buying this off the stands, Hulk being my favourite title, looking at it and immediately thinking "Ms.Modok? Oh, brother. So STUPID! Now I have to wait another full month before I can get something good again!". I was 13 or 14 years old and I took my comics so seriously back then. Now, I not only enjoy Sal's action packed pencils, but I can also appreciate the stupidity of the Ms. Modok idea, for no other reason than it now brings a smile to my face. 🥰

Very cool Hulk page! I've always thought that Modok was a cool looking character. Ms Modok...well....she's got a great personality!... lol!

"Get your mind off her, Modok!" Getting a little handsy with that cerebellum, guy. Nostalgia bomb! Sal really knew how to do the Hulk like no other. His stories ran the gamut from goofy to drama, and managed to create a fully-fleshed, 3-d character in the wash. Nice pick up. Congrats!

Another couple Ms MODOK pieces - cool! Nice action on these 2 and you can see that Hulk's got a soft spot for the lady. Fun pages, Paul!
