Description

This page I kind of bought on a whim. One of my strongest interests in comics are when a concept is personified as a character. Examples of this are characters such as Eternity, The Living Tribunal, Infinity etc.... Uncle Sam is that as well as a historical character used to represent the old grit and morality of America.

This page depicts the EXACT moment where the The Living Spirit of America imbues Samuel with the powers to become Uncle Sam! It is the origin moment in a handshake.

Uncle Sam seems to be one of the themes of your artwork. I have a couple myseld. You should check out Eddy Barrows' version in the Freedom Fighters 12 issue series he did from a few years ago.

Greetings Lee, I've seen those pages and some of them are really great scenes and artwork. I kinda missed the boat on those pages and now its slim pickins. I do have a thing for Uncle Sam art and also collect original political cartoon art depicting Uncle Sam. I like the idea of using the character and giving him a personification/personality and how they use it. That's why I really like U.S. and Alex Ross's art on the series.
