Description

A trade brings my first Raymond to my collection with a place in my 'Early Masters' gallery

July 12, 1951 Rip Kirby from "The Great You" with Rip and Honey in the first panel and 'action' shots of Jerri enjoying herself

Story synopsis: Jerri's boyfriend, Jeff, lures her into a cult headed by "The Great You", who is really Flick Anders. Jerri's mother becomes worried and tells her friend, Honey, who then asks Rip to help. When Anders is killed, Rip has to figure out who actually shot him

The only Raymond I own is the art book. My favorite part is a picture of the artist, standing next to a giant fireplace with a Nude Live Model standing there as he is about to draw her. Oh and he's chomping on a cigar. That's the life! This strip is very nice and I especially love drawing of the lady in the first panel. The Perspective is not an easy one -except for Raymond which has done an amazing job!
