Description

Eduardo Barreto (attributed) - Milton Caniff Homage Character Study Original Art (c. 1989). Acclaimed Uruguayan artist Eduardo Barreto primarily worked for DC Comics, creating standout art in the 1980s, working on many top tier characters, including Batman, Superman, and handling the art during a long run on The New Teen Titans. During this time, Barreto created this character study sheet in the style of legendary artist Milton Caniff, who had recently passed away -- an accurate representation of the Caniff's definitive style -- even replicating to the artist's signature. These four characters were created in ink over graphite on the back of DC Bristol board with and image area of 10.25" x 15". The slightly toned board has light staining near the top, with darker toning around the edges. In Very Good condition. -- ha.com
