DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR THE LINK IN OUR FEBRUARY 2021 AUCTION!18.25x24.25" open frame contains oil painting original art by Stephen Hickman, an artist, illustrator, sculptor and author best known for his work in sci-fi and fantasy, w/over 350 book and magazine covers to his credit. His works illustrated the stories of Robert A. Heinlein, H.P. Lovecraft, J.R.R. Tolkien, Anne McCaffrey, and Andre Norton. Painting shows Art Nouveau style woman standing in front of futuristic sci-fi-fantasy cityscape w/large "Fantasy" text on banner above her and "1978" on banner across her legs. Art was original used as a t-shirt design for Shirt Xplosion and was later altered for Hickman's personal portfolio. Hickman's initials flank bottom of pedestal woman stands in front of.
