DescriptionEarly appearance of Jason Todd as Robin by the legendary Don Newton with Alfredo Alcala on inks.Check out that bottom panel!!! "REMEMBER EVERYTHING I'VE EVER TAUGHT YOU. THIS IS DEATH WE FACE... NOW!!" Perhaps a bit much on the dramatics, but oh so good nonetheless. A young, naive, smart-mouthed Jason Todd escaped death in this issue, but was unable to survive past Batman issue #428 when the fans eventually voted to kill him off. I remember when this piece came up but am clueless as to why I didn't fight for it!! Really a superb work and who can resist a flared Batman cape and full frontal Newton / Alcala Batman art??? A masterpiece!!!!
