Description

I'm a fan of Ditko's Speedball, and the idea of turning him into a grim and gritty character as a result of Civil War, seemed a bit ridiculous. Having said that, this mini-series had really nice artwork by Paul Gulacy. I really like his high contrast style and was happy to pickup this cover art a few years back.

In addition to issue #1, this was also used as the cover art to the digital trade paperback. Thankfully, the character has gone back to being Speedball in recent years.

Sweet cover! I remenber seeing Penance on many covers then and never knew it was Speedball! Congrats on this beauty.
