Description

Another really fun piece of Elsie-Dee's history. As the story goes, she is at her final countdown before she is going to explode.

Wolverine stays with Elsie-Dee on the Venice Beach boardwalk, along-side Storm, to be with her as she tries to fight her inherent programming which would ultimately kill them all.

It's a great moment in comics (especially this run in Wolverine, which introduces her in her origin story) and captured beautifully by Marc Silvestri (her artistic creator), Dan Green (inker) and Larry Hama (the man behind this hard hitting story). It's a side of Wolverine we don't always get to see, the caring father figure, but when it's done right it's perfection. And for me this story and art are prime examples of why these characters jump off the page and feel so real (not to mention they are set in a location that I've spent a lot of time at).
