Description

For this week's Whelan Wednesday, I thought I'd post the earliest piece by him in our collection, and the first of his paintings we ever bought. This appeared as part of the logo on Marvel's "Kull and the Barbarians" comic book, issue #2 (7/75) and #3 (9/75). Kull was another creation by Conan author Robert E. Howard. As printed on the top left of the covers, the image appeared about 1" tall.
