Description

15" x 10" image area. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Detective Comics #479 Page 8 Original Art (DC, 1978). Rich Buckler and John Celardo.

Finale page of the first appearance story featuring villain Anton Lamont, the Fadeaway Man. Hawkman and Hawkwoman return to a museum to face Lamont who reveals himself as the villain known as the Fadeaway Man. Hawkman swings his mace at Lamont, but misses, striking the Pistol of Power instead. The blow activates the trigger, generating a beam of energy that seemingly disintegrates the Fadeaway Man.
