DescriptionIt's taken a while, but I finally have my first Jack Kirby page on the wall.I looked at everything from superheroes to war comics and all things Marvel and DC, but nothing struck me quite as hard as Jack's take on the Red Skull. Would I like a page with Cap as well, sure? But we have to have something to work toward, right? I have a feeling it won't be my last, but I'm content for now. Social/Sharing |

Kirby Kontentment activated! You have Red Skull, Arnim, Kirby machinery, Royer inks, and nice backgrounds. Cap would just be gilding the lily. Awesome Kirby work. Congrats on the first!

This is one of the cooler 70s Kirby Cap pages I have seen - so much Kirby goodness lurking in every nook and cranny!

You have great taste, this is such a cool page from such a cool book. Love the Red Skull-Armin Zola interactions. Mike Royer did a really fine job inking this issue. Big congrats!

Wow! Absolutelly killer page from Jack Kirby and Mike Royer! I always love it when I get any art with major villain on it. Somehow, having a famous villain on a piece of art is almost as good as having a hero on it. And this page has both the Red Skull AND Zola on it! Bingo! What a terrific page it is, too. The Red Skull is in every panel and the page has lots of Kirby machinery as well. Plus, it's got Mike Royer inks! Nobody inked Kirby as well as Royer. Look at the brushwork on this page--Lots of spot blacks and interesting use of shadows as well. Love that fourth panel with the Red Skull backlit--It really makes him look villainous! The whole page is a stunner! Phenomenal pick-up, congrats!

I'm not likely to get another Kirby any time soon, so I am very happy with this one. Kirby's Skull has such a distinctive look to him, so I was thrilled to grab a page with him (and Zola). Besides, I have PLENTY of pages with Cap on them. Bring on the bad guys!
