Sketch by FILIPE ANDRADE made in May 2017 at my local comics shop - Mundo Fantasma in Oporto, Portugal.
A4 size (8.3in x 11.7in)

To celebrate the Free Comic Book Day, the comics shop had an exhibition with original art from Portuguese artists working for American publishers (Carlos Pedro, Daniel Henriques, Filipe Andrade, Jorge Coelho e Miguel Mendonça). There were tables for artists to sell their books, book presentations and Jorge Coelho and Filipe Andrade were invited to do a signing session.
I’ve been trying to collect sketches of my favorite X-Men character – Rogue – by all Portuguese artists that worked for Marvel. Since Filipe rarely does signings, I couldn’t pass the opportunity to ask for a Rogue sketch with this suit.
For someone who works in the comics industry, it’s quite funny seeing him not recognizing the characters names and looking them up in his phone. And after seeing a couple of images, he does an excellent work doing his own take on the character with his own style. For this sketch opportunity, I took some images in my phone so he could get the characters’ suit right.
