Description

After giving mass murder the ole college try, D’Kay realizes that what she really wants to do is become a mom - by way of J’onn J’onzz. Brightest Day # 9, page 3 (2011).

This page exemplifies why Peter Tomasi* and Pat Gleason are my favorite writer-artist team: every panel either establishes character or moves the story forward, and every individual panel is great to look at! Peculiar to this page, each panel is appropriately off-kilter to reflect the insanity of the villain and the scene!

*I don’t know for certain whether Tomasi or Geoff Johns wrote this sequence, but it certainly feels like Tomasi’s pacing and staging from Green Lantern Corps.
