Wow, this is a great Spiegle, bro! After I made the decision to start watching Film Noir several years ago, I figured I may as well also take the time to see what all the fuss with Monroe was about. Oh, I always understood the looks and beauty out in public, but I had always assumed that's all the hype was based on. So I ended up buying several of her movies on DVD and was SO pleasantly surprised to find that she not only was popular for her looks out in public, but that the camera loved her too. She just shines on film. But even more impressive was that she was genuinely funny and a pretty good actress, too! What a cool DPS to land. Even after almost 62 years post death, she still remains an icon worldwide. I can't believe I'm the first person to comment on this piece!

I think if I re-posted it more recently, and with an actual good scan It would get a lot more engagement perhaps. I originally posted with an even worse photo and replace with this "scan". Unfortunately it's tougher to capture as it is oversized and a DPS so each half doesnt even fit in the scanner, so i had to comb together 2 phone scans and its "ok"..i also had to deal with some minor bending/creasing to the art boards during shipment from the seller at the time I originally got it and got a partial refund for that hassle - nothing too bad in the art area but still annoying.
Agree with you on Marilyn, her actual acting and film set skills are underrated and not talked about as much as her iconic fashion and beauty with the glamour side of old Hollywood (and its drawbacks) but she was very talented and also funny for sure. The Dave Stevens cover for this issue with Marilyn which is the cover is the more well known image from this issue/run (its pretty collectable on the comics side) but Dan did an awesome job with the interiors of the book

Oh yeah, you are now well known among the group of OA collectors who also socialize online, so that reason alone would get you a lot more engagement. Add to that the fact that more socializers also comment more these days and that would increase the engagement even more. Don't worry about the image. It's at least sharp enough to be able to see Spiegle's line pretty clearly and to be able to appreciate it, so you're good.
Nice to hear you also appreciate MM's acting abilities. She was certainly very cute and funny and the camera clearly loved her. It's easy now to see just why she became such an icon.
Speaking of icons, yes, the Dave Stevens cover for this issue is one of the many iconic Stevens classics from the 80's. And yeah, I sometimes watch comic book videos on YT and am aware that 80's Stevens coveres are suddenly all the rage to collect and speculate on.
