Description

This was a commission of one of my Westies Bentley drawn at a small show in Dallas. Brian attended many shows in the Dallas area because he has a lot of friends there. So when I knew he was coming I would set up a painted commission. Often he would have no idea, as was the case at this show, what he was drawing in advance just that it would be a watercolor painting. So when he arrived in town I gave him a picture of the dog you see in the painting. He had never drawn a dog before and he pointed out that dogs were interesting to draw because they have no hard fixed border because of their fur. As usual he painted this live at the show. Almost everyone who walked by the table asked him if he drew pets and would he paint their dog, which was hilarious because when they asked the question he would answer that he was not drawing a dog. It was a fun show. Bentley loved chew toys and it was Brian's surprise to include the Spider-man chew toy in the painting.
