Description

Ahh... my one and only George "The Master" Perez published page, and a nice one too, from the story where Robin past and Robin future meet for the first time.

Here we see Tim Drake trying to prove his worth as a detective to Dick Grayson by explaining how he's solved a murder mystery. Of course Dick is still a little confused as to who this kid IS, and he has his own (more accurate) theories about whodunnit.

Of minor interest is the fact that Tim's hair has been altered after the inking stage with an overlay, to what would become his trademark appearance, originally he seemed destined to have the same side-curls as Dick and Jason had had at the start of their Robin careers, but clearly they wanted to give him his own look both in costume and civilian looks.

Bob McLeod is a legend in his own right, amongst other claims to fame, he's the artist who created the look of the first "New Mutants" team.. and so much more than there's room to detail here.

He can also ink ANYONE and make it look terrific. His style here is perhaps a little less "smooth and sleek" than Perez's frequent inker from this period, Romeo Tanghal, but I feel it adds a certain extra "texture" to the figures.
