Description

Some recent MCU vibes prompted me to pull this and post it to CAF. I have really been enjoying the Falcon and the Winter Soldier Disney series so a page with Sam Wilson brooding over a tough decision seemed appropriate. Add in the recent news I read (not sure if accurate) that Vincent D'Onofrio will be reprising his role as Kingpin in a future MCU project made this the perfect page to post this week.

Sal Buscema pencils and John Verpoorten inks on this great early 70's Cap page - hope you enjoy!

Firstly, your (possible) news made my day. I loved that DD series. Fingers crossed that MCU picks up that and the Punisher...As to your Cap page, it's great! Verpoorten inks leave Sal's style easily recognizable, but so different. Almost a Romita quality? And perfect timing to throw up a pensive Sam Wilson page. Can't wait to see that finale tonight. Thanks for sharing the page! Big congrats!

Thanks! Totally agree about the DD series and VD is solo good as Wilson Fisk. I can totally see the Romita vibe coming off this page, another good call. Getting ready to watch the season finale shortly.

While he is often over shadowed by his big brother, Sal has been responsible for some of my most favorite art runs in the Bronze Age. I absolutely loved his long runs on Defenders and Hulk. And this 70's run on Cap is engrained in my my memory. Great page with Sam and Kingpin.
