Description

Part of a lovely three page sequence. Redondo was a very religious man and the biblical stories he rendered certainly must have held a special significance to him. The exquisite fluidity of brushwork in many of those stories, I think, testify to that. I imagine him moving the brush across the surface quickly, laying down ink on both up and down strokes, pausing only long enough to dip and begin again. Exceptionally graceful work that imbues every line with a quality of life.
