DescriptionStar Wars #14 Pg. 1Pencils by Facundo Percio Inks by Dan Parsons Written by Brian Wood Darth Vader vs Obi-Wan Kenobi on the Death Star! Posting more of my Star Wars art in the countdown to May the 4th! Here we have the opening page from issue 14 of the Dark Horse Star Wars run (2013) with a flashback/nightmare scene to the classic duel between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi on the Death Star from the original 1977 Star Wars film (now called Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope). The Dark Horse Star Wars comics are picking up steam and have been fan favorites for awhile. This is a great page that calls back to one of the most famous scenes from the movie so I was happy to pick this one up as a huge Star Wars fan. Social/Sharing |

Somehow I was at Tosche Station picking up power converters while you were able to pick this gem for your collection.

I'm really NOT a Star Wars guy, but come on! Set the stage with a long shot of the Death Star, followed by a full figure Darth Vader making his entrance, follow that up with a full figure Obi Wan Kenobi joining the fray, and then end it with both foes locked in mortal combat, in a retelling of the classic movie scene? That's a GEM of an acquisition, Kavi!

Thank you, Ruben!! Yeah man I hear ya everyone has diff levels of interest with Star Wars but I'm prob more into Star Wars than I am into "comics", although they obviously cross mediums/paths as well, so when I find a page I connect with either for the art or the story depicted on the page and it's reasonable, I do my best to go after it if I can. This one just had the perfect story elements as you described, couldn't pass it up!!
