DescriptionIllustration of Zee. My one and only JPL original artwork. (Thanks Keith) Precious. Very.John Paul left us way too early. I was trying to get a commission from him and we had exchanged a couple of emails. He was very professional and answered my emails promptly. I assumed that he was swamped with work when he did not reply my inquiry earlier this year. After all a great talented professional like him is always working on one project or another. Thank you very much for your work from Challengers of the Unknown to Winter Men and everything in between. RIP, John Paul Leon. Social/Sharing |

A stellar talent we lost too soon at 49. His wonderful artwork leaves a rich legacy and inspiration for anyone aspiring for greatness. I love how he spotted shadows which under his creativity, told more than half the story sometimes.

His cover run on DMS was fantastic and always told a story, backing away from the easy pinup shot. What a talent he was. Congrats.
