Description

This is the end of the scene where Cerebus, while on the Moon, talks to The Judge who tells him he will die alone, unmourned and unloved then walks off into the moonscape distance.

These two pages go together. They share the same theme of the mimicked distance fade, heavy black inks and six equally sized panels per page. The moonscape on pg 14 are stats due to the repeating landscape, but the Judge is hand drawn by Dave Sim, and on page 15 the last two panels are stats that have additional Gerhard's line work and whites done over top to better match them.

One of my favorite aspects of of the Cerebus story was the the premonition that he would die alone, unmourned and unloved.

I really like these two simple pages as a pair and am happy to have them. Purchased it on the Comic Art Live Presents Gerhard's Cerebus Art show.
