Mixed media story illustration by Jon Whitcomb (1906-1988)

COSMOPOLITAN Magazine, January 1949, "Margin for Love"
Painted in oils on period stock trade paper, mounted on board.

This original painting was featured in COSMO as a double page feature story illustration.
It is a very rare and early example of the great Coby Whitmore's iconic run as one of the top American illustrators of all time.

20 x 26 inches. Original frame, under glass.
Comes with the original January 1949 COSMO magazine in which it is featured.
