DescriptionThis Eclipse title was a thinly veiled send-up of a certain popular 1980s comic that also starred high-school age, mutated martial-artist animals. This page from an unspecified issue was created in ink over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 14" x 17".Social/Sharing |

The team is all here! Sam Kieth brings that out of the box comedy to the hamsters with one of the more successful TMNT inspired copycat titles.

I was given the Massacre In Japan special as a kid, before I'd ever been exposed to the TMNT as a comic. Blew my mind. Also my first time seeing Stan Sakai artwork. Can't believe my luck getting a Kieth piece, looking forward to one day getting some other artists who worked on it, maybe some Parsons work will become available someday (won't hold my breath lol).

I saw Parsonovich once at a show in the late 90's or early 2000s and he did not seem to care too much about the comics. He had a booth with a bunch of metal sculptures that he made and he hid behind. They were welded scrap metal made to look like other things (animals, etc.). He was not advertised to be at the show and I have not seen him since.
