The cover is beautifully rendered. The trade (titles, price etc.) is stuck on the art. And the seller was kind enough to include a signed copy of the issue!

I can see they would stick the logo on if it was done by the artist as they intended. Because by 2011, the production trade dress was mostly digital. Maybe Kelly didn't trust DC to stick with where he wanted the placement to be. In any case, that subway part is drawn like a real life photograph.

Interesting...

The title is definitely some sort of a handmade cutout - it actually looks 3D in life, and is a bit thick. The price/creator names/Vertigo imprint are flatter, and look like they're cut and pasted from somewhere else. It also looks like they're in different locations on the final product.

I wonder what went on there, and why did anyone feel the need to paste those directly on the art.

The subway scene looks much better in the original pieace than on the final cover, in my humble opinion (rounder ... lines 😃).
