DescriptionFrom the first issue of FF that George Perez ever drew - this and 165 were actually supposed to be Giant Sized Fantastic Four 6, but the GS series was cancelled so these two inventory stories were re-purposed for the main series.Social/Sharing |

Great art pairing that had the great detailed work of an up and coming Perez and the veteran know how of Sinnott. The Thing looked tighter and cleaner than ever before while keeping the bombastic personality we've all come to love.

There is so much to love about this page! Totally agree with Marcus about the appearance of Ben - this will always be the way he 'looks right' to me. Love all the focus on Sue, and is it just me, or does that middle panel pose of Sue dodging the Thing evoke the body positioning of a Kirby action panel? Love the lines around Reed's head in the second to last panel emphasizing his indignation. While most will focus on the action of the middle panel, I think my favorite is that last panel of 'over the shoulder' Sue - what a pretty image as she 'handles' the team, informing them that not only is she as good as them, she's better. This is the crisp clean Perez art that always come to my mind when I think of him. And as much credit goes to George for this amazing page, not to be left out is the amazing Joe Sinnott who made every page he touched look better. Congrats on being the caretaker of such a great page of comic book history.

What a great and classic FF page. The writing on this page demonstrates the characters and their personalities so well. And then there is the art! Perez pencils with Sinnott's inks make this a treat to look at.
