DescriptionWilson McCoy The Phantom Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 11-11-59 (King Features Syndicate, 1959). Reassurance that The Phantom protects Doctor Axel's Hospital is starting to be problem for the Witchmen of the jungle. This sequence from McCoy's "The Flying Horse" story-arc which ran from 10-5 to 1-16-1960, was created in ink and Zipatone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of approximately 20.5" x 5.75". Toning, white-out correction/clean-up, some discoloration to Zipatone, editorial notes/marks, fold crease in the middle of strip, staining, smudging, and handling wear.
