Description

There's a few stories attached to this image.

First of all, Legend of Zelda games are the finest around, with a (re)playability and a welcoming attitude to new and experienced gamers alike.

Back when this was commissioned, my son, then about 5yo, was (and now still is) very into whatever LoZ game we were playing back then. Judging by Link's look, I'll go with Twilight Princess.

I got this piece from Victor 'I eat Negative Space for Breakfast' Santos in 2015 or 2016 when he was doing one of his first Inktobers. I picked out 3 images (it wasn't the dash for the finish it is these days) and horror of horrors, the package gets lost!

Victor, being the utter gentlemen he is, offers to draw me 3 different images and asked me what I like. I mentioned a couple of non-comics things, and there you are.

2 more coming, then, on top of my other Santos-pearls.

Victor's illustration style is so gorgeous, but more than just style, he always puts so much character & personality in his subjects. Just look at the determination on his face, ready to pound on several naughty bokoblins.

Well Excuuuse Me Princess. Zelda games have dominated and will continue to with each iteration of Nintendo console and games. Any art of Link is recognizable and iconic for all ages.
