Description

Years ago, Paul Dini and Bill Morrison pitched a Golden Age Style Batman book to DC that was unfortunately never made. As a Dick Sprang fan, I loved the look of this piece since I saw it on CAF: https://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=396434
I've always wondered what a JSA piece in this style would look like. Bill had an opening, and did this commission for me. We decided to label it as "All Star #76" since #74 was the last published issue and #75 was supposed to be the "Death of Batman" story that got serialized in Adventure Comics. Enjoy!

Beautiful retro style achieved through Morrison's astute golden age 50's artisitic sensibilities that he had used before in Jingle Belle, Roswell, and of his other non-Simpsons work.

It's a crime that the Paul Dini/Bill Morrison Golden Age-style book wasn't made! This piece should be sent to every editor at DC with a note that they're crazy if they don't make that book happen now!
