Description

From the second season Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Fred Wolf Films) episode "It Came from Beneath the Sewers," here is the original line art drawing for an animation cel In this scene, the Ninja Turtles are preparing to defend their sewer lair and April O'Neil from a gigantic Mutant Plant monster brought to life by the Eye of Sarnath (which bears more than a little resemblance to a certain creature from Little Shop of Horrors). Michelangelo takes the point with his mastery of the whirling nunchaku/nunchucks.

This is an original pencil drawing that was used to guide animators in painting the cels that would be used for the actual episodes. Unlike many of the "Animation Art" line of cels, these drawings were never sold at retail outlets. Also attached is a screencap from the digital VUDU copy, showing the approximate drawing in its final form at around the 10 minute, 43 second mark. When compared with the screencap, it is clear that April and the other turtles were animated on separate layers.

Mikey is the comic relief surfer dude, but always out front for his brothers.  I don't think he's the accountant of the bunch.
