DescriptionTom Lyle's terrific cover to Spider-Man #37 (1993) features an ideal Spider-Man vs. Carnage battle image. This cover was part of one of the biggest Spider-Man crossover sagas ever published, "Maximum Carnage". This 14-part saga ran through all four of Spider-Man's titles during the era. It featured Carnage escaping prison and recruiting a group of villains to work with him. Spider-Man gathers a group of heroes, and even Venom steps in and is ultimately the one who is able to bring Carnage down. The second Venom film, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, is set to introduce Carnage to movie audiences around the globe.Social/Sharing |

Congrats on getting a cover that's a really awesome deal. Especially when it comes to what really is the one of the best Carnage stories.

Dripping with nostalgia and symbiote juices, Tom Lyle did an amazing job capturing the ferocity of Carnage in this cover! Truly an amazing pickup! Congrats!!!!!

Such a fun 90s run and this was one of the best covers from that arc.

What a great cover. Lyle's Spidey has such a great Bagley feel, but is still his own for sure. I still have this book, and I loved the cover are then, and still do.

Classic face off image I remember distinctly. Definitely one of the late great Lyle's best from the time! Congrats!

Man, I loved Tom Lyle's Spider-Man when I was a kid. Back in 2018 I told him how I always used to try to draw Spider-Man like he did.
